Accounts Payable & Receivable Specialist (Temp-to-Hire)

Pay: $28-$32 per hour
Location: Sacramento, CA

Ledgent Finance & Accounting is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable & Receivable Specialist for a temp-to-hire opportunity with one of our valued clients. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and skilled in both AP and AR functions within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Accounts Payable

• Process full-cycle AP, including invoice entry and coding
• Manage vendor communications and resolve discrepancies
• Support weekly check runs, ACH payments, and 2-way/3-way matching
• Assist with month-end close related to AP

Accounts Receivable

• Generate and send invoices, including project billing
• Apply payments, deposits, and maintain accurate AR aging
• Follow up on outstanding balances (light collections if needed)
• Support revenue reconciliation processes

General Accounting

• Perform bank reconciliations
• Assist with reporting and audit support
• Maintain accurate documentation and financial records

Qualifications

• 5+ years of combined accounts payable and accounts receivable experience
• Strong understanding of project billing and transactional accounting
• Experience with bank reconciliations required
• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Proficiency with accounting software and Excel
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
